Where waste hydraulic oil comes from
Steel and fabrication shops, injection-moulding units, construction fleets, ports, and mines change hydraulic oil on a schedule. The drained oil is often stored in the same yard as engine oil, which lowers its value if mixed.
What recyclers look for
Water from leaking coolers, metal fines, and mixing with engine oil are the usual defects. A dedicated IBC or drum labelled 'hydraulic oil only' protects the rate.
How to list on BioTradX
State ISO grade if known, estimated litres per quarter, and whether the oil is from mobile equipment or stationary presses. Recyclers serving industrial belts (Pune, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Jamshedpur) are often looking for regular lots.
Compliance note
Treat waste hydraulic oil as used lubricating oil under hazardous-waste practice. Do not burn it in an unauthorised boiler to 'save disposal cost'.
