Sell UCO to Biodiesel Manufacturers in India

Biodiesel manufacturers in India buy used cooking oil as a primary feedstock. Selling UCO to them, through a RUCO-aligned aggregator or a marketplace like BioTradX, is how restaurants turn frying waste into fuel.

Sell used cooking oil (UCO) directly or via marketplace to biodiesel manufacturers in India. Quality specs, RUCO enrolment, and how BioTradX matches plants with kitchens.

Why biodiesel plants buy UCO

Used cooking oil is cheaper than virgin vegetable oil and does not compete with food when it is true waste oil. India's biodiesel programme and growing SAF interest increase demand for traceable UCO.

Plants care about free fatty acid (FFA), moisture, and insoluble impurities because these change methanol use and yield in transesterification.

Direct to plant vs marketplace

A large hotel group near a plant may sell direct. Most restaurants cannot fill a tanker. A marketplace aggregates many kitchens so a manufacturer still gets plant-scale volume with traceable origin.

  • Direct sale: fewer hops, higher volume needed
  • Aggregator: pickup convenience, you may not see the plant rate
  • Marketplace: visible offers from multiple enrolled buyers

Specs manufacturers usually ask for

Expect questions on FFA percentage, water, and whether the oil is filtered. Some buyers sample the first lot. Repeat sellers with consistent quality win longer contracts.
