Biomass for Cement Plant Co-Processing in India

Cement plants in India co-process biomass and other alternative fuels to cut coal use. Suppliers sell rice husk, sawdust, and agro residues into that demand through marketplaces like BioTradX.

How cement plants in India source biomass and alternative fuels, and how suppliers can sell residues through BioTradX RFQs.

What cement kilns can take

Many kilns take a range of biomass and RDF within quality and chlorine limits. Each plant publishes or tenders specs. Do not assume husk that a textile boiler loves will pass a kiln spec.

How plants procure today

Mix of long-term contracts, traders, and digital catalogues. A specifications-led RFQ on BioTradX is useful for trial lots and for residues that are seasonal.

What suppliers should put in a listing

Ash, moisture, GCV, chlorine if known, form (loose, briquette), and tonnes per month. Cement buyers are technical. Vague 'agro waste' listings fail.

Sell to industry on BioTradX

If you supply biomass suitable for co-processing, list it and watch for cement and large-boiler RFQs.
